How long will the network last?

The ducting and fibre has a life of at least 40 years – probably longer.

If the fibre fails it can be pulled out of the duct and replaced with a new fibre.

The electronics in the main cabinet has a life of at least 10 years. This equipment is designed for quick replacement with minimum loss of service.

The router supplied to customers should last 5 years.
